These things are extremely handy for wet pants or when you have heavy items in your pockets. Simply put, they hold your trousers up around your waist. The comfy elastic straps give them play for when you crouch, and the hardy clips simply click on to your belt loops, while still leaving room for a belt as usual if you want that as well.
