About the stock (Includes Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad)

All stocks are handcrafted by skilled technicians using formulated epoxy resins selected for maximum strength and durability. The stock is made with continuous multi-stage layers of “e-glass” fiberglass with graphite reinforcement in critical areas. The stock is made by pressure lamination with mold parting lines on the top and bottom. The surface finish is intended to be painted or finished in some manner. Structural urethane foam is used in the butt and forearm to reduce weight and increase strength. We emphasize “quality”, not quantity. The end result is a stock that looks, feels, fits and performs like it was intended. Each stock is individually “handcrafted.”

Features

Recoil: Due to the internal construction of the stocks, they do not transmit energy in the same manner as wood or injection molded stocks. The structural urethane foam making up the inner core changes the time duration in which energy is transmitted. If you spread energy transmission over a longer period of time, you will feel less of the recoil.

What is Cerakote?
Cerakote is a Polymer-Ceramic coating that can be applied to metals, plastics, polymers and wood. The unique formulation used for Cerakote ceramic coating enhances a number of physical performance properties including abrasion/wear resistance, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, impact strength, and hardness.
Cerakote can protect steel 50 times better than competitive firearm coatings.  Cerakote salt spray testing is performed using a steel substrate, to simulate real world application, instead of using aluminum or Parkerizing
Cerakote offers some distinct advantages over other finishes. First, the material has a good degree of lubricity, acting as a lubricant once the finish has been applied. A lot of users have found they need to use far less lubricant (if any) once their gun has been coated. Compared to other lubricants, Cerakote attracts far less in terms of dirt, dust and other particles, keeping the gun cleaner and ensuring better operation.
