The Glock 17 Gen2 (abbreviated as G17 Gen2) is an Austrian pistol developed in the late 1980s. The G17 Gen2 is a second generation Glock firearm, incorporating new features and changes compared to the previous generation. The G17 Gen2 replaced G17 Gen1 in 1988, and remained in production until it was replaced by the third generation G17 Gen3 in 1998.
