This spotlight uses seperate LEDs for the red and white so no light is lost unlike traditional methods of using a red filter

Animals like deer and rabbits have a hard time seeing red light as they do not see in the colour spectrum we do. They only see colours Blue and Yellow and Red appears to them as a shade of grey
