The new 23 Ocea Jigger rod models have further evolved to highlight the true art of jigging, allowing you to manipulate high-response jigs and make sharp actions with medium to high-pitch jerks more easily.
The blank, which is built using Shimano’s unique Spiral X-Core and High Power X technologies, features a fast taper and high elasticity. This thoroughly improves responsiveness and recovery while eliminating twisting, shaking, and power loss as much as possible. The result is a blank that is incredibly thin and lightweight but still maintains strength and durability. Even in situations where a heavy load is applied, such as areas with high currents or when drifting, it will allow light and precise jig operation. The guide train, which features Fuji titanium SiC guides and Shimano X guide, achieves trouble free line-performance and maintains a smooth bending curve under load by optimising the guide foot size. These models are suitable for targets that require a fast lure presentation such as Kingfish and Tuna, while being equally comfortable manipulating lures in a subtle tone for Snapper and bottom-fish. The standard specifications are sure to dominate the tough offshore scene.

The slim and lightweight blanks are tightly packed with a Spiral X-Core and further reinforced with High Power X, while a full holding reel seat and jerking assist rear grip improve stability and efficiency of jig operation. The highly elastic yet silky bend allows the fulcrum point to shift according to the load reducing the burden on the angler and supporting ideal jig action. The line-up is consistent across all models at 5’10” in length and has 4 power levels from 2 to 6. Since the length is the same, you can continue jigging with the same jerk timing and rhythm even if you chance rods. In addition, the models are colour coded for ease of identification; gunmetal grey (2 power), gold (3 power), blue (4 power), and green (6 power). It is designed to allow systematic jigging without stress.

  The blanks of the Ocea Jigger are generously made with Shimano's unique basic structure, the Spiral X-Core and High Power X. The Spiral X-Core is a technology that enhances the strength and response of the blank itself from the core against bending, twisting, crushing, and all other directions. It achieves both lightweight and high strength. High Power X is a structure that tightens the outermost layer of the Spiral X-Core with carbon tape in an X-shape pattern, suppressing the twisting in the rotation direction that occurs during jerking and fighting. These two reinforced structures allow the blanks to fully demonstrate their original performance, and the rod continues to maintain the angler's intended direction without shaking.

  Tapered tip and nipple finish for a comfortable grip and an absorbent fit.   X GUIDE 3D titanium used in the tip section is a guide frame made of tough titanium material and produced using SHIMANO's unique cold forging technology. The three-dimensional structure of the frame, which eliminates bumps and sharp edges, and the inclination angle calculated by 3D technology, provides both trouble-free performance and smooth thread release. Jig operation with PE line in strong winds can be performed without stress.
