The lever drag not only makes drag operation visually easy but its heat-resistant drag performance makes it ideal for tuna which often fights for long periods of time. The lever drag's structure makes the handle heavier as the drag force increases but the newly developed Infinity Drive structure reduces handle rotation weight at high drag by 30% compared to previous models. This lever drag reel is packed with the attention to detail of the Ocea Jigger series including a new large T-shaped handle knob and 105mm cold-forged handle for taking on large fish a frame shape that makes thumbing easy and a drag lever designed for ease of operation. The included drag cam is also compatible with light lines.

The rotational torque is up to 30% lighter than conventional structures. The newly developed double drag structure breaks the conventional wisdom of lever drags.
Jigging for yellowfin tuna and yellowfin tuna has become more accessible and it's now possible to target fish in the 50kg class in coastal jigging. When fighting large fish a reel requires not only high line capacity but also a reliable drag. The lever drag system used in the Ocea Jigger LD offers many advantages such as easy high drag and instant accurate drag adjustment. However it also has a drawback: the handle becomes heavier as the drag force increases. To minimize this drawback the Ocea Jigger LD is equipped with Infinity Drive on the lever drag. The newly developed double drag structure with two drag washers successfully generates high drag force with low thrust. It achieves up to 30% less rotational torque than conventional reels of the same size. This light rotation similar to that of a star drag system is the Ocea Jigger LD's advantage. Compared to a conventional lever drag you'll immediately notice the difference. In addition the drag lever is a cold-forged lever designed specifically for the Ocea Jigger LD. Its high rigidity and well-thought-out shape allow for smoother drag operation.

Maximum drag force of 20kg. Maintains stable drag force even when heated.
The Ocea Jigger LD's maximum drag force is 20kg. This refers to the drag force at the FULL position when the preset is fully tightened within the range where the spool is free. The high-durability drag is also less susceptible to heat degradation than the star drag reducing drag force loss by approximately 25% under certain conditions compared to the Ocea Jigger 2000. This makes it easier to maintain stable drag force even when fighting large fish that put a lot of strain on the drag supporting a worry-free fight.

It can be customized to suit your purpose and experience level.

The stopper button which ensures the lever stops at the strike position reduces the risk of anglers who are not used to lever drags tightening it too much and causing it to break and is also an effective setting for targeting tuna in the middle depths.However it can also be set to OFF for amberjack jigging where attack and defense near the base are essential or for experts who do not need a stopper.*Please refer to the instruction manual for customization methods. The Ocea Jigger LD can be customized to suit the angler's experience and the characteristics of the target fish. By replacing the standard drag cam that comes with the rod with the included light line cam the drag force changes more smoothly making it suitable for fishing with PE 1.5 to 2.5 lines. It demonstrates characteristics that are ideal for targeting mid-deep sea alfonsino and red snapper as well as for jigging bluefish in coastal waters.

Light Line Cam included
Customize drag changes with the included light line cam.The Ocea Jigger LD's drag comes equipped with a standard cam with a wide adjustment range designed for PE 3-5 lines but by replacing it with the included light line cam you can customize the drag characteristics to be more gradual and designed for PE 1.5-2.5 lines. This setting is ideal for fishing with light lines where you want to avoid sudden changes in drag force.
