This fixed blade is a faithful replica of the knife design issued to Von Tempsky's elite Forest Rangers in 1863, built to handle the brutal demands of the bush.

• Historic Carbon Steel: The substantial 6.5-inch (16.5 cm) blade is crafted from high-quality Carbon Tool Steel (often EN45 or 8670 steel, historically made from waggon spring steel). This material is chosen for its tremendous toughness, shock resistance, and ability to take an incredibly sharp edge. Note: Carbon steel requires a light oiling to prevent patina and rust.

• The Iconic Shape: Features a classic, powerful Bowie clip-point profile with a thick spine (around 6mm or 0.24 inches). The design is perfectly balanced for everything from detailed camp work to heavy chopping.

• Master Cutler Edge: Each blade is individually hardened, tempered, and hand-ground by Bryan Baker, Svord’s master cutler, providing a signature Convex edge that is razor-sharp right out of the box.

• Classic Wenge Handle: The full-tang handle is fitted with Wenge Hardwood scales. This traditional, dark wood provides a sturdy grip and complements the knife’s authentic, historical appearance.

• Multi-Use Guard: The knife includes two holes built into the guard, a feature historically designed to allow the knife to be lashed to a pole for use as a makeshift spear.
