Bronco's Outdoors encourages all users to practice responsible fishing and adhere strictly to all local regulations concerning eel nets. Before deploying your Anglers Mate Eel Fyke Net, it is essential to understand and comply with all current fishing regulations and permit requirements for fyke nets in your specific area. For recreational eel fishing, regulations often include a daily bag limit of six eels per person and a restriction of one fyke net per person. Additionally, many recreational guidelines specify a minimum mesh size of 12mm. The 10mm mesh size of this net means it is primarily suited for commercial use with the necessary permits and the required installation of at least two escapement tubes with an internal diameter greater than 31mm. If intended for recreational use, modification may be required to meet local mesh size standards. Always consult local authorities for specific guidelines on mesh size, bag limits, and other requirements to ensure compliance and support the conservation of eel populations. It is also recommended to return large eels (shortfin over 60cm, longfin over 75cm) to the water unharmed.
