Technical Features
The innovative shape of the action and the stock significantly increase the shooter's field of vision. A new forend iron system ensures the opening load remains consistent over time, while the renowned Steelium Plus barrels guarantee consistently dense, uniform patterns. The Beretta 694 Sporting's slim, modern design gives it a "racing" feel, offering a bold and winning aesthetic.
The metallic surfaces of the Beretta 694, prone to overheating during continuous use, have been drastically reduced to benefit the shooter's hands. Its newly designed steel action boasts a modern, sporting appearance, featuring side panels with a mirrored profile and diagonal lines accentuated by a blue graphic design. The action's bottom is adorned with Beretta's iconic three arrows and the 694 logo, also in blue, with a Nistan finishing providing its characteristic matte grey colour. The action's weight has been increased by approximately 25gm, further enhancing stability and balance. This Beretta shotgun incorporates the classic Beretta closing system, featuring trapezoidal shoulders and two robust pins that extend from the breech face into their respective housings on the breech sides. The front of the action is equipped with two hinged studs that fit into corresponding housings on the monoblock.
The trigger group includes a three-position adjustable trigger and a fixed lock, powered by two robust coil springs mounted on spring guides. The firing selector, exclusive to the sporting version, is integrated within the safety lever, which itself features new checkering and improved ergonomics. The steel top lever presents a new, low-profile design with an anti-glare finish, engineered for ergonomic and easy operation by both right and left-handed shooters. Newly designed ejectors are equipped with powerful springs, strategically positioned behind the ejector slide and beneath the stop pads.
While the Beretta 694 arrives perfectly balanced from the factory, discerning shooters can further customise its configuration using the optional B-Fast Balancing System. The 694 barrels are engineered to accommodate a system of 15gm, 10gm, and 5gm weights, which can be strategically placed in the five available slots in the muzzle and under the forend (weights sold separately). This innovative fitting system distributes weight along the entire barrel length via lateral rib openings, enhancing the shotgun's swing and reducing muzzle jump without generating noise or vibrations during shooting. Their design ensures a perfect fit with the lateral ribs, preventing loss or obstruction of visibility. Additionally, the B-Fast stocks are designed to accommodate a series of 20gm and 40gm weights, available for separate purchase.
