Overview
The Black Magic Maggot XT Burple Wire Rigged Game Lure is a high-performance, straight-running trolling lure meticulously engineered for targeting a wide array of pelagic species, including tuna (yellowfin and bluefin), marlin, sailfish, mahi mahi, and wahoo. This 200mm unweighted pusher-style lure, featuring a 7-inch skirt, is renowned for its exceptional stability. Its weighted, cup-faced design ensures it maintains an enticing action and a consistent bubble trail across diverse sea conditions, making it a dependable choice for serious anglers.
The distinctive Burple colour profile is particularly effective in rougher waters, offering a hard black-and-silver contrast that cuts through chop and creates a strong, visible silhouette, especially when run close to the prop wash or as a short corner lure.
- XtraTuff Head Construction: The 25mm head is crafted from XtraTuff high-impact resin, providing exceptional durability that resists cracking or chipping even under intense pressure. It incorporates high-UV reflective, silver/green eyes for enhanced visual attraction in the water.
- Wire Rigged & IGFA Compliant: This lure comes ready to deploy, meticulously wire-rigged to IGFA standards. It features 4 metres of 200lb Black Magic Tough Trace and a single Japanese-made 8/0 closed gape stainless steel game hook, ensuring robust performance and adherence to international fishing regulations.
- Optimised Burple Colour: The Burple colour profile offers a striking black-and-silver contrast, specifically designed to create a prominent silhouette in rough or aerated water. This makes it particularly effective for close-in flat lines near the prop wash, where its dark hue stands out to target species.
