Because the bolt handle moves straight back and forth without rotating, the shooter can maintain their sight picture and cheek weld, resulting in lightning-fast follow-up shots. The action also features a manual cocking system; the rifle is carried safely un-cocked with a loaded chamber and is intuitively cocked by pushing the thumb slide forward immediately prior to taking the shot.
