Overview
The Caesar Guerini Invictus III Ascent Trap is a competition-grade shotgun engineered for the extreme high-volume requirements of competitive trap shooting. While it shares the revolutionary Invictus System (allowing for modular replacement of primary wear points) with its Sporter sibling, the Trap edition is specifically weighted and balanced for the steady, deliberate swing and rising target presentations of the trap field.
The Ascent configuration provides a 10mm mid-high fixed rib paired with a specialised Monte Carlo Trap stock, encouraging a more upright, "heads-up" posture that improves peripheral vision and significantly reduces felt recoil and neck strain.
- Hand-Finished Elegance: The receiver features an intricate deep-relief gargoyle and dragon engraving with gold inlays. It is finished with a hand-polished coin finish and protected by Invisalloy™ to prevent corrosion.
- Modular Durability: The Invictus System utilises replaceable Invictus Cams and an Invictus Block, ensuring the action can be restored to factory tightness indefinitely, effectively providing a "million-round" lifespan.
- Advanced Barrel Dynamics: Built with 5" DuoCon forcing cones and a .735 chrome-lined bore to provide ultra-consistent patterns and a smooth transition for the shot column.
- Specialised Trap Rib: Features a 10mm fixed-height Ascent rib (10mm to 8mm tapered width). This fixed rib is designed to be more rigid than adjustable versions, providing a rock-solid sight plane for rising targets.
- DTS Action Control: Integrated into the fore-end, this system allows you to adjust the opening and closing tension of the action using a simple hex wrench to suit your preference.
- Match-Grade Trigger: The DPS ultra-crisp trigger system features chrome-plated hammers and sears for a "rifle-like" break, with full adjustments for take-up, over-travel, and length of pull.
