Daiwa 27 BG SW Spinning Reel

The Daiwa 27 BG SW is a heavy-duty saltwater spinning reel engineered for extreme durability, raw winding torque, and reliable performance when targeting hard-fighting pelagic and reef fish. This generation represents a significant evolutionary leap for the legendary, workhorse BG series, integrating Daiwa’s modern Powerdrive Design framework. It is built to handle high-stress offshore techniques such as mechanical jigging, stickbaiting, and live-baiting with ease.

• Powerdrive Design & Engine: Built around a rigid, distortion-free full aluminium frame and side plate that keeps internal components perfectly aligned under maximum drag pressure.
• Oversized Power Digigear: Housed inside an expanded rear gear case, a massive drive gear, 30% larger in diameter than previous generations, drastically multiplies high-load cranking power and torque for fluid handle turns against heavy, deep-water resistances.
• Powerdrive Rotor & Solid Crank Bail: Features a re-engineered, spherical Zaion/DS composite rotor built to resist twisting or bending during violent hooksets. It pairs with a heavy-duty, solid-wire Crank Power Bail designed with an upward entry angle to smoothly guide heavy braid straight into the line roller without wrapping or tangles.
• ATD-Tough Drag System: Fitted with high-grade carbon drag washers and special low-viscosity drag grease, the ATD-Tough system completely mitigates initial startup inertia. This provides glassy-smooth, progressive drag pressure during a fish's explosive first run to protect knots and line connections.
• Advanced SW Weather Sealing: Outfitted with specialized interior rubber gaskets and reinforced sealing rings along the main shaft and handle entry points, vastly extending the reel's lifespan in harsh, spray-heavy marine environments.
• LC-ABS SW Spool: Features a refined, long-cast aluminium spool lip profile configured specifically to lower casting friction when casting thick braided lines from the bricks or a boat deck.

The Daiwa 27 BG SW Spinning Reel is engineered for anglers who demand unwavering strength and smooth operation in challenging saltwater conditions. Its robust construction and advanced features make it an ideal choice for pursuing powerful game fish, ensuring reliable performance on every adventure.
