The primary mechanical advantage of a spigot mount over a traditional bottom-mounted Picatinny or sling-stud bipod is its relation to the rifle's bore axis. By inserting directly into the front of the stock, the spigot positions the bipod's pivot point much closer to the centerline of the barrel. This effectively lowers the rifle's center of gravity, drastically reducing top-heavy torque and making it significantly easier to manage cant (tilt) on uneven terrain. The result is a highly stable, "slung-under" feel that absorbs recoil linearly, allowing you to spot your own impacts and execute rapid follow-up shots.

Installation on the GRS Bifrost is straightforward and requires only minor modification. Simply open the front fastening bolt hole to 5mm and insert the spigot with the stopper facing downwards. The kit cleverly includes two different lengths of mounting screws: use the short screw for a flush fit, or utilize the provided long screw if you are simultaneously running a Picatinny rail on the bottom slot of your Bifrost stock.

(Please note: While designed for direct insertion into the Bifrost, this spigot can also be used on GRS Warg and Ragnarok chassis systems when paired with the separate GRS Spigot Adapter).
