Overview
Hornady Superformance SST ammunition in 7mm-08, featuring a 139gr SST bullet, is engineered for superior performance in the field, offering hunters and sport shooters an advantage. This innovative ammunition delivers exceptional velocity without increasing chamber pressure, felt recoil, or muzzle blast, ensuring a comfortable shooting experience even with increased speed.
The Superformance propellant technology utilises progressive powders to achieve 100 to 200 feet per second (fps) faster velocities than conventional ammunition, all while maintaining temperature stability and low fouling. This optimisation allows for consistent accuracy and reliable performance across a wide range of firearms, making it an excellent choice for various hunting scenarios.
At the core of this ammunition is the Hornady SST (Super Shock Tip) bullet. Designed for devastating terminal performance, the SST bullet features a polymer tip that initiates rapid expansion upon impact, delivering maximum energy transfer for effective hunting of medium to large game. Its streamlined profile and boat tail design contribute to an improved ballistic coefficient, aiding in flatter trajectories and reduced wind drift over longer distances, providing excellent ballistics for the Hornady 7mm-08 139gr SST.
