The Howa 1500 rifle is built on a robust action, inspired by an early Sako design. It features a one-piece forged bolt and an easily strippable firing pin assembly for straightforward cleaning and maintenance. The flat-bottom action ensures superior bedding, complemented by an integral recoil lug for enhanced stability and trunnion pull transfer. This rifle incorporates a crisp two-stage trigger and a reliable three-position safety, allowing the bolt to be opened safely even when the firearm is on 'safe'.

Designed for both hunting and target shooting, the Howa 1500 provides an excellent out-of-the-box experience. This model features a Hogue pillar-bedded overmoulded stock, offering superior fit, function, and accuracy. The combination of the high-precision Howa 1500 action and the ergonomic synthetic stock creates a dependable, lightweight rifle suitable for sporting and entry-level match use.

Every Howa 1500 rifle is equipped with a cold hammer-forged barrel, a steel forged bolt and receiver, the acclaimed HACT two-stage trigger system, and a three-position safety for secure handling in the field or at the range.

For Howa 1500 Short Action rifles, there is an option to change to a shorter stock (available only in black). This reduces the length of pull from 15 1/3" (39cm) to 13 3/4" (35cm). Please enquire online or in-store if you would like to request a shorter stock for your rifle.
