The barrel is free-floated for maximum accuracy, and this model includes a threaded 1/2-20 barrel.
Based on an early model Sako action, the Howa 1500 boasts a one-piece forged bolt and an easy strip-out firing pin assembly for straightforward cleaning. Its flat bottom action allows for superior bedding, and an integral recoil lug effectively transfers trunnion pull. The two-stage HACT trigger offers a crisp, clean break, while the three-position safety allows the bolt to be opened with the safety still applied.
