This meticulously engineered setup provides unparalleled control over your jig's action, delivering the precise movements needed to entice Snapper, Kingfish, and various deep-water reef species. Designed for serious anglers, this pairing combines robust durability with exceptional performance for a truly comfortable and effective fishing experience.

At the core of this powerful combo is the Penn Fathom 10XNLD, an Extra Narrow Lever Drag reel. Its innovative spool design ensures perfect braid lay under tension, allowing your thumb complete freedom to manipulate the jig and manage the fight. Constructed with a rigid Full Metal Body and sideplates, the Penn Fathom 10XNLD eliminates flex, even under extreme loads. Coupled with Penn's renowned Dura-Drag system, it offers a consistently smooth, hesitation-free drag, crucial for protecting lighter PE lines against powerful, sudden runs.

Complementing the Fathom reel is the Penn Battalion II Slow Pitch Overhead Rod. This 6'8" rod, rated for PE:3 braided line, features Penn's exclusive SLC2 construction with internal spiral carbon wraps. This advanced blank design is remarkably lightweight, significantly reducing angler fatigue during extended sessions, while providing the ideal elastic recoil to effectively 'pitch' heavy metal jigs, creating an irresistible fluttering action on the descent. Equipped with premium Fuji Alconite guides for superior line management and heat dissipation, and ergonomic high-density EVA grips for comfort, the Penn Battalion II rod ensures you maintain precise jig control and powerful fish-fighting capabilities.
