Overview
The Shimano Dialuna Spin Fishing Rod series offers exceptional performance for shore casting and inshore lure fishing, excelling in precise lure operation and formidable fighting capabilities across diverse fishing scenarios. Engineered with advanced Shimano technology, these rods are a premium choice for anglers targeting a wide variety of popular inshore species.
At the core of the Dialuna's superior performance is the innovative double X structure, featuring both Spiral X and High Power X blank construction. This advanced design maintains remarkable strength and rigidity while achieving an impressive balance of lightness and power. The inclusion of a new Carbon Monocoque Grip further reduces overall weight and significantly enhances sensitivity, allowing for precise bite detection and improved responsiveness. This evolution results in a rod that enables more accurate and enjoyable fishing experiences, making the Shimano Dialuna rod a standout for serious anglers.
The Dialuna series is available in various configurations to suit different angling needs. The standard Dialuna Inshore & Shore lineup provides sharp, responsive casting accuracy and extreme blank power. Models include the DLNS86L (8'6" / 2.59m, 112gm, 2-piece, PE 0.4–1.2, 5–24gm lure, Max 28gm jig), the DLNS86LS Solid Tip (8'6" / 2.59m, 113gm, 2-piece, PE 0.3–1.0, 3–21gm lure, Max 25gm jig, ideal for small baitfish situations in harbours, rivers, and rocky shores), the DLNS76M (7'6" / 2.29m, 111gm, 2-piece, PE 0.8–2.0, 7–38gm lure, Max 45gm jig), the DLNB76M Baitcast (7'6" / 2.29m, 117gm, 2-piece, PE 1.0–2.5, 7–38gm lure, Max 45gm jig), the DLNS80MH (8'0" / 2.44m, 133gm, 2-piece, PE 1.0–2.5, 10–45gm lure, Max 50gm jig, excels in technical fishing for powerful species like kingfish), and the DLNINSS76MH (7'6" / 2.29m, 123gm, 2-piece, PE 1.0–2.5, 10–60gm lure, Max 60gm jig).
For close-to-mid range inshore angling from boats, kayaks, or tight structures, the Dialuna Inshore Zoom lineup features the S66-76M (26DLNINSS66-76M). This 3-piece rod offers a length range of 6'6" to 7'6" (1.99m–2.29m) with a closed length of 102.9cm, weighing 126gm. It handles 7–30gm lures and PE 0.8–2.0 line, incorporating the Silky Zoom 30cm adjustment range for seamless length variation.
- Spiral X & High Power X Blank Construction: This innovative double X structure provides strong rigidity against twisting and breaking, maintaining lightness and ensuring excellent power transmission during casting and fighting. High Power X further boosts torsional rigidity, effectively suppressing shaking and power loss to realise the blank's original performance. This means the rod's full power is exerted when battling fish, and repeated casting generates significant repulsive force with minimal effort.
- Carbon Monocoque Grip: A new lightweight grip design that significantly enhances sensitivity, allowing anglers to detect subtle bites and feel the water flow or lure action with greater precision.
- Regular Fast Taper: Designed to allow the entire blank to bend sensitively, providing excellent lure operability with a sensitive tip. The rod's power from the middle to the butt section maximises advantage during full casts and demanding fights, ensuring versatility for a broad spectrum of lures.
- Silky Zoom Adjustment (Zoom Models): Select models feature a 30cm adjustment mechanic, allowing anglers to seamlessly vary the rod's length for optimal performance in changing conditions or fishing scenarios.
