The SIG Sauer M400 Elite offers users an upgraded rifle, continuing the brand's tradition of delivering dependable firearms. Since 2010, the M400 has been a successful rifle platform, recognised for its reliability, accuracy, and features that distinguish it from other models. For 2017, SIG Sauer aimed to raise consumer expectation by delivering an accuracy-driven rifle equipped with desirable features for a complete AR system.
This new M400 Elite maintains the exacting standards of the original model while incorporating upgraded components, making it a high-performing rifle straight out of the box. Key upgrades include a lightweight, full-length, free-floating M-LOK® handguard, which ensures consistent, unimpeded accuracy and promotes better handling. This valuable component, often an aftermarket addition, surrounds a 16" 1:7" twist barrel with a SIG Micro-Light Gas Block™, weighing just half an ounce.
Instead of a standard M4-style stock and A2 grip, the SIG Sauer M400 Elite ships with upgraded furniture. This includes a SIG Enhanced six-position buttstock for optimal length of pull and an Enhanced SIG Pistol Grip for improved control during firing. Another enhancement is the SIG Enhanced single-stage trigger, providing a lighter pull and crisper feel. Together, these improvements deliver an accurate, lightweight, and dependable AR rifle.
Completing the system, the M400 Elite can be acquired with or without the company’s ROMEO®5 red-dot sight installed. This sight enables fast, accurate target acquisition and features SIG SAUER Motion Activated Illuminated (MOTAC®) technology, which turns on with motion and powers down when not in use, extending battery life to 40,000 hours.
