The Stoney Creek Long Bush Coat Bayleaf is constructed from Hydrotough, an advanced 3-layer technical fabric engineered for superior outdoor performance. This innovative fabric provides robust protection against the harshest weather conditions. The tightly brushed outer face ensures quiet movement, which is vital for successful stalking in the bush. Treated with Teflon™ DWR (Durable Water Repellent), the coat effectively sheds water, keeping you dry. Its hydrophilic membrane is highly breathable, actively reducing heat build-up during physical exertion. Additionally, the Ciba antimicrobial treated nylon tricot inhibits bacterial growth, helping to keep you fresh during extended use in the field.
To maintain the optimal performance of your Stoney Creek garment, we recommend a regular warm wash at 40 degrees Celsius (inside out) with a non-powdered laundry detergent (Sports Wash recommended). An occasional warm tumble dry, right side out, is also beneficial. A warm wash assists in inhibiting bacterial growth, and warm drying for 20 minutes revives the fabric and rejuvenates the DWR and Teflon coating, ensuring ongoing performance and longevity in the field.
Note: Powdered detergents often contain UV brighteners that are visible to animals. We recommend reapplying DWR every two years. It is not recommended to store your garment damp, wet, or scrunched.
