Designed for the Japanese topwater market, the Tica Hoodlum Star 270S-300 rod is ideal for casting poppers and stick baits to kingfish in various fishing locations. The 2.7m (9') 2 piece blank is built to be light and strong, easing the fatigue of all-day casting sessions while providing the power needed to subdue larger kingfish.
The heavy-walled slimline blank joins inside the handle, maintaining the perfect action of the rod. It is suitable for casting lures in the 200gm to 300gm weight range with a line rating from PE8 to PE10. This rod features quality Fuji tangle-free K series guides, a graphite reel seat, and ergonomically shaped slimline EVA foam grips.
