The Reel

The Tica Flash Surf 10000E is a surf reel designed for anglers seeking a precision build and silky smooth feel. Weighing a light 535gm, it is ideal for creating an ultra-light surf combination. Carbon construction for the frame, rotor, and handle ensures low weight while maintaining rigidity and strength. A small lubrication port on the main body provides easy access for maintaining the main gear.

The 5.2:1 gear train operates fast and smoothly on 7 RRB ball bearings, delivering a line retrieval rate of 114cm per handle turn. Fitted with a long shaft and long cast spool, combined with a slow oscillation system, the line winds perfectly back onto the spool with no overlap, resulting in perfect long casts. The spool line guard system operates almost silently.

The spool also features a stainless line keeper button, which functions as a casting memory device. Simply loop your line around the protruding button after achieving your desired cast. When winding the line back in and casting again, the line will stop at the loop you set, ensuring your subsequent casts reach the exact same distance as your initial cast.

An extra drag knob is included with this reel. The quick-set drag system features an integrated preset control, effectively providing a similar concept to a baitfeeder reel, perfect for straylining. To engage, crank the main drag up, then set your desired maximum drag with the small preset knob. Back the main drag off to activate Baitfeeder mode. The main drag has a maximum drag of 12kg.

Fitted with lightweight, low-profile guides, the rod feels very light in hand, with a finished total weight of only 600 grams.
