The Benelli M2 Field is widely considered the workhorse of the Benelli semi-automatic range, renowned for its speed, reliability, and lightweight handling. This specific model features a true left-hand configuration, meaning the ejection port and charging handle are located on the left side of the receiver, and the cast of the stock is adjusted for a left-handed shooter, eliminating the issue of shells ejecting across your vision.

At the heart of the M2 is Benelli's signature Inertia Driven® System. Unlike gas-operated shotguns that use dirty propellant gas to cycle the bolt, the Inertia system uses the recoil energy of the shot itself. This results in a firearm that operates much cleaner, requires less maintenance, and is incredibly reliable in adverse weather conditions, making it ideal for outdoor, hunting, and sporting pursuits. The "Field" configuration features a durable synthetic stock equipped with ComforTech® technology, a system of gel recoil pads and chevrons built into the stock that absorbs significant recoil, making this lightweight 12-gauge manageable even with heavy hunting loads.

• Inertia Driven Action: The bolt system consists of just three main parts (bolt body, inertia spring, and rotating bolt head). It cycles everything from light target loads to heavy 3-inch magnums without adjustment and operates cleaner than gas-operated shotguns.

• ComforTech® Recoil System: The stock features 22 synthetic chevrons designed to flex and absorb recoil. Combined with a soft gel comb and buttpad, it reduces felt recoil by up to 48% compared to standard synthetic stocks.
• Crio® Barrel and Chokes: The barrel is cryogenically treated (frozen to -300°F) to relieve stress in the steel. This results in a smoother bore surface that stays cleaner and delivers denser, more consistent shot patterns.
• AirTouch® Grip: The checkering on the pistol grip and forend uses an "AirTouch" pattern to ensure a secure grip even when hands are wet or gloved.
