The Flipper Jig is exceptionally versatile, performing brilliantly with both bottom bouncing and mechanical jigging methods. Its design allows for effective presentation whether you are drifting or at anchor.
- Bottom Bouncing:
- When drifting or at anchor, cast your Flipper Jig up current. This allows sufficient time for the jig to sink to the seabed before it passes directly beneath your boat.
- Once you feel the jig hit the bottom, retrieve your line 2-3 metres, then immediately drop it back down.
- Continue this process repeatedly until the jig has drifted past your boat.
- Retrieve your line and repeat the casting sequence to cover more ground.
- Mechanical Jigging:
- The Flipper Jig's erratic darting action on retrieve makes it highly effective for mechanical jigging, mimicking a fleeing baitfish and provoking aggressive strikes from predatory fish.
