Black Magic Snapper Whacker Flasher Rig 5/0

The Black Magic Snapper Whacker Flasher Rig is the original flasher rig, designed, developed, and hand-rigged in New Zealand for anglers who prefer an active fishing approach. This premium paternoster rig is built around super-sharp, chemically sharpened C Point® hooks, specifically engineered for those who actively strike to set the hook, providing excellent penetration on bony-jawed species like snapper.

Each Snapper Whacker rig features two meticulously tied flies, incorporating extreme UV-reactive materials and soft Japanese lumo beads that emit a bright, enticing glow. These powerful visual attractants are highly effective in deep water, low light conditions, or during night fishing excursions, drawing fish from a distance. Constructed with heavy-duty 80lb Black Magic Tough Trace, this rig offers exceptional abrasion resistance, crucial for landing large fish and navigating challenging underwater structures.

To use, simply attach your mainline to the top swivel and a sinker to the bottom loop before casting. While incredibly effective on its own, adding a small piece of bait, such as squid or skipjack, will create an irresistible scent and sight combination, further increasing your chances of a successful catch from the beach, rocks, wharf, or boat.

• C Point® Hooks (5/0): Equipped with premium high-carbon steel suicide/octopus hooks, featuring three micro-cutting edges for unmatched penetration. These hooks are ideal for bony-jawed fish and boast a special coating for extreme rust resistance, ensuring longevity in marine environments.
• Heavy-Duty Trace: Rigged on 80lb Black Magic Tough Trace, this rig is engineered to withstand abrasion from sharp teeth and jagged rocks, providing reliable strength when fighting strong fish.
• High Visibility Lumo & UV Attraction: Incorporates UV-reactive fibres and soft Japanese lumo beads that effectively attract fish from a distance, particularly in deep or murky water where visibility is limited.
• Premium Hardware: Finished with a high-strength 15kg Black Magic barrel swivel at the top, designed to prevent mainline twist and ensure a smooth, tangle-free fishing experience.
• Versatile Application: This dependable rig is highly effective for a wide range of fishing scenarios, whether casting from a boat, wharf, beach, or rocky outcrops, making it a versatile addition to your tackle.

The Black Magic Snapper Whacker Flasher Rig is an essential and robust solution for anglers seeking dependable performance when targeting popular species. Its durable construction and proven fish-attracting features ensure a successful and rewarding experience on your next fishing adventure.
