The Hornady Bullet Comparator eliminates this issue by measuring from the bullet’s ogive – a reliable and consistent surface. This ensures precise measurements for setting bullet seating depth and allows you to check the uniformity of bullets from base to ogive, both critical factors for achieving superior accuracy.
The Bullet Comparator easily attaches to the blade of any standard caliper using a simple thumbscrew. It utilises interchangeable insert bushings to measure directly from the bullet ogive. These versatile bushings are available in fourteen sizes, accommodating a broad range of calibres from .17 to .45.
