This innovative design utilises inner and outer spiral wrap layers of carbon fibre, sandwiching middle layers of alternating longitudinal carbon and glass. This construction maintains a round cross-section in the blank under load, enabling it to handle higher stress. The unidirectional carbon and glass layers form the rod's backbone, combining the strength of glass with the lightweight properties of carbon fibre to produce a strong, balanced, and thin rod blank.
